Motorcycle Camping on the Natchez Trace Parkway

When Camping The Natchez Trace Parkway is awesome. It starts in Natchez, Mississippi and ends in Nashville, Tennessee – a fabulous linear 444-mile park chocked full of historical stops along its route - perfect for a motorcycle ride.

This was our first experience of hopping on a deliberately planned linear road, devoid of stop signs and stop lights and riding it all the way to its end – and WOW – were we hooked.

For the motorcycle rider, we’ve heard various opinions of “it’s a fabulous ride” all the way to “it’s slow and boring”.  And depending on your riding style that will be your take on it as well.

For us though, we were in search of a route that would slow us down, disconnect us from the hustle and bustle of our fast-paced world we all live in and infuse us with a sense of peace we were sorely missing.

So we set out to find for ourselves if the Natchez Trace Parkway, with its designated 45mph speed, numerous historical stops and lack of constant traffic would do just that. This was a ride that warmed our hearts.
