TUCSON, ARIZONA - So Many Places to Ride – So Little Time!
Join us as we explore the area around Tucson, AZ. First off is the 40-mile scenic ride on Mt. Lemmon. With a summit of over 9,000 feet, we were still rather shocked to encounter snow near the top. We highly recommend stopped at the Cookie Cabin (you’ll thank us later – well maybe not your waistline).
Then we’re off to explore the Mission San Xavier del Bac (or better known as the White Dove of the Desert). Located 15 miles south of Tucson, AZ on the Tohono O’odham San Xavier Indian Reservation, this fully operational church is a jewel to behold and well worth the ride to visit it.
Our final place to venture to was Saguaro National Park – West Side. There are two scenic drive in Saguaro National Park. The drive in Saguaro National Park East is a paved eight-mile one way loop and the drive in Saguaro National Park West has several routes. We chose the west Bajado Loop Drive, which is 6 miles of hard packed dirt. Signal Hill Picnic area has a short hike to see petroglyphs and an overlook of the surrounding area.
