Motorcycle Ride on the Cherohala Skyway – Chasing Fall Colors

Cherohala Skyway in the fall, with the colors blazing, is an amazing ride to explore.  Don’t do what we did and miss the turn off to the Bald River Falls & Baby Falls – they’re not to be missed and Turkey Creek Road is beautiful to ride down. 

Once again, we turned to our trusty map by Randy Freeman – Freeman Maps, to discover the great routes in the area.

Unfortunately, our riding time was cut short by rain that swept through the area for a couple of days.  Though we don’t have a problem riding in the rain, we quickly found out that riding curvy roads with wet leaves (remember it was fall) wasn’t all that much fun.  So, it

was time to hunker down in the tent as we waited out the remnants of Hurricane Delta.  Once more our choice of living out of a large tent proves well-placed as we find ourselves inside for a long period of time.
